OSPF Demand Circuit

Scenario:

Living on a tropical island isn’t all that bad. You run a small network used to order cocktails at the Coconut Bar so they are delivered at Palm beach. Unfortunately the links you are using are leased line and pretty expensive. You need to make sure you don’t send any unnecessary OSPF traffic or you won’t be able to afford any more sunscreen.

Goal:

  • All IP addresses have been preconfigured for you.
  • Configure OSPF on both routers. Achieve full connectivity.
  • Ensure no periodic hello packets are sent on the serial interfaces without breaking the OSPF neighbor adjacency.

It took me 1000s of hours reading books and doing labs, making mistakes over and over again until I mastered all the protocols for CCNA.

Would you like to be a master of networking too? In a short time without having to read 900 page books or google the answers to your questions and browsing through forums?

I collected all my knowledge and created a single ebook for you that has everything you need to know to become a master of CCNA.

You will learn all the secrets about OSPF, neighbor adjacencies, network types and more.

Does this sound interesting to you? Take a look here and let me show you how to Master CCNP ROUTE!

  1. Hi

After enabling demand-circuit, not even a OSPF packet is being exchanged btwn the two routers, then how they maintain their adjacency ?

  2. Hi,
startup config and final configs are same, please kindly correct them

    thank you
